Favorite moment yesterday … we were out hanging lights  and my daughter jade found a baby spider. It was tiny and white and scurried as fast as it could to get away. Jade reached down and picked it up by one of its tiny legs... she says mommy I want to hold it... she’s only two... I love that she has no fear... that she approaches life with courage and faith. I love that we have kept her so safe that she feels no fear. She watched and played with that spider for a long time.

Somedays are harder then others

Yesterday was a hard day. dinner time was a three wheel circus , eight kids for dinner and right when it’s time to serve them the toilet over flows and runs all down the hall way the burgers start to burn .. Meanwhile the kids are mass kayos in the back ground cause tabby’s busy... thank fully there was a parent here and she jumped in to help , my sick husband got out of bed and tried to save the beef !  After all this we had to drive out in the monsoon to pick up hubby’s car at the shop. It was such a hard drive it was dark and the wind was blowing the rain was coming down side ways... I could barely see the road …that was a scary drive with my babies in the car. But through it all I am still great full, great full for my husband and for parents who step up and jump in, great full that we got home ok.  Favorite moment yesterday … sitting in the hot tub when it was all over all by myself with my book...

Turkey !

Thanksgiving is almost here. I can’t wait to eat some turkey. I have been having lots of fun making turkeys and fall leaf decorations with the kids. Favorite moment today is sitting quietly and watching the leaves fall .

Leaves

Favorite moment yesterday….. The kids and I had a wonderful leaf war in the front yard... I love how they laugh and giggle as they throw leaves at each other. The wicked joy they get from sneaking up to pelt me with leaves. When we were all done we lay in the grass and watched the leaves fall for awhile. It was incredibly peaceful .

Blessed

I had a wonderful day today with my family .We went for a hike in the woods. The sun was shining …the leaves are changing … gods canvas was truly beautiful today. I was walking up the side of a mountain with my baby girl on my back  singing to me  ,my husband leading the way , my son talking a mile a minute  right behind me . All I could think is how right the world was today... how blessed am I. I would be forever blessed if I woke up tomorrow with only the things I thanked god for today.

snug

I am loving fall this year. It is so fun to sit in this snug house and listen to the rain falling on the roof …. To see the leaves falling out the window...  the coolest is watching the squirrel that lives in our maple tree gather his nuts for winter. The kids and I watched him for awhile today.

Love My Job !

Favorite moment today … the girls were a little fussy today so we decided to try Jr. Yoga. It was so much fun and the girls loved it. They were both giggling by the time it was done. Love how a little bit of fun exercise makes us all happy. When we were done we went for a color walk. We found lots of purple things (mostly flowers)... it was such a nice day with two of my favorite girls. I love my job!!

Halloween

Well... I finally got the house all decorated for Halloween. I am so in love with Halloween. I can’t wait for all the ghost, goblins, witches and fairies to come knocking on my door. Trick or Treat... Smell my feet… Give me something good to eat! Love Halloween! I got some courage, took jade for her first ride in the car without a diaper. I felt so braveJ. We made it home accident freeJ. Today is a wonderful day

Fall

All prepped to make bird feeders with the kids. Can’t wait for them to get home from school. , the pinecones are set on a plate... the peanut butter in a bowl... the fishing line cut …. We have blue berries, apple smoothies and doughnut muffins for snack, should have some happy kids.

whiskey

So, my husband Travis and I have a standing joke...about our wedding vows...so last night he says... next time we get married I’m putting in the vows...thou shall not drink the last shot of whiskey . JHe makes me laugh everyday. I am so blessed to have him as mine.

Life is good

The leaves are falling outside my window. My family is safe and snug in their beds. The house is cozy and warm .Feels like fall. I have decided to decorate for Halloween today. I love Halloween. The one time of year all the Ghost and Goblins come out of hiding. Life is good today ….. Austin is doing awesome in football and Jade is potty trainingJ. My babies are growing up healthy, content in themselves. I feel so lucky

My son

Yesterday I took my kids and the day care kid’s to a birthday party. There was a clown there. My son loved the clown... My beautiful all too serious nine year old was for just a moment a giggly sweet little boy... I loved it….

Fun

Had a great weekend with my family .We took Austin to see a reenactment of the Civil War.? It was awesome! Spent Sunday with friends .I finally got out to the dahlia farm this year. I had the best time walking through the garden and looking at all the beautiful flowers with my daughter Jade. What a wonderful weekend

Football!!!!

Football season is here for our little guy and I can’t wait to watch him play! Football means long days, practice almost every day cramming family time in between games. We love it! My little guy blossoms out on the field. One more day and the fun begin.

Taking a break

Taking a break is sometimes necessary .My husband and I took a much needed break from kids and responsibilities this Saturday (Thank god for grandma ).It was our anniversary .We went camping…. It was lovely…. I got to sit by the river,read a good book.Recharged my battery. When was the last time you took time by yourself?

Snuggle time

Yesterday was full of simple pleasures. From picking black berries… to a movie with popcorn. But my favorite time of the day is snuggle time with my daughter after her bath. She is so wonderful. I feel so blessed. I set aside the time after her bath for her. Jades special time to snuggle and play with mommy before she goes to bed. My son gets time after his sister goes to bed since he stays up later. Do you set aside time everyday to spend just one on one with your children?

Determined

So….. Yesterday was a hard day. One of those days where it’s hard to find the shining moment that puts it all in perspective .But I am determined to live my life in a positive frame of mind. My favorite moment was watching the kids play in the sprinkler, for a little while they are just kids. Enjoying the water, no arguments, and no demands. It was lovely

Tiptoeing Joyfully...

Trying to find the little things that make each day joy-filled. 

It can be hard, some days are overwhelming... some days are exhilarating... despite the crazy, I'm on a mission to find small moments each day that remind me why life is so amazing. 


The babies are sleeping, so I'm tiptoeing quietly through life (or at least trying to find those calm, quiet moments mixed in with all the crazy).

Maybe my moments of joy will help shed light on yours.
